Botox is a drug made from the toxin of a bacteria called clostridium dificile. When injected, this toxin prevents the muscles in the area from moving hence slowing the process of ageing.

Dermal fillers consist of hyaluronic acid (HA) which are also naturally occurring in the body. The role of HA is to hydrate and volumes the skin. At Glowsthetics Clinic we ONLY use Juvéderm® fillers as they are the safest and purest on the market we have come across.

We will always assess the skins condition prior to injecting. Active infection in the facial area may require postponement of your session. This is to let the skin heal and avoid complications with your treatment.

Skin boosters generally contain Hyaluronic Acid and Amino Acids which work by signalling the body to produce collagen and elastin. They do not add volume but instead improve hydration, smooth fine lines and slow the aging process by protecting the inner layer of the skin known as the dermis.

Polynucleotides are molecules composed of many nucleotide units linked together in a chain. Nucleotides are the building blocks of nucleic acids, such as DNA and RNA. This treatment option harnesses the latest advancements in skincare science to induce cellular level repair.

Skin boosters are best for targeting hydration and fine lines whereas polynucleotides is better suited for those seeking cellular level repair and anti-aging benefits – mature skin.

Both treatments are often purchased together as they work perfectly together to slow the aging process, tone and hydrate the skin and repair damaged skin.

Facial Aesthetics requires the use of needles. While this isn’t painful it may be uncomfortable. We will always apply a good amount of a topical anaesthetic cream and leave on for at least 15 minutes. This will help by numbing the area and reducing sensation for a short period of time.
